Default Durametric and Door/Hood Latches

Good evening.

I have intermittent double horn beeps when I unlock my Boxster. I'm assuming the alarm control module is reading a fault somewhere. I have checked the module itself and yes, it is perfectly dry and the connections appear clean.

Can the Durametric software read/test each individual latch?

Will it be able to determine exactly why I'm getting the fault code?

Thank you all.

Yes you can lock and secure each door using the software so any failure should bring up a fault

Thank you indieworks for your reply!

I called Durametric a day or two after my original post. They are very kind, knowledgeable people.

The gentleman I spoke with mentioned the Durametric software is only as smart as the car itself; it can't run a function the car itself isn't capable of doing. He couldn't confirm the software could test each individual lock/latch(?) on my 2001 986S.

Of course, my alarm issue stopped, at least momentarily, a few days ago... I'll keep everyone posted.

Again, thanks for your reply indieworks.
