Default Michigan Porsche mechanic recommendations?

I have a '98 986 with 59,000 miles on it. I didn't know about IMS failures or IMS in general until after I purchased it in May. After reading all the posts, watching videos, etc. I'm thinking I better get this done before it's too late. I would prefer to have a mechanic experienced with this upgrade. When I spoke to the local import service center, I got the feeling they have not done many (I'll ask tomorrow), -the check engine light came on a week ago so I'm bringing her in. Also, what upgrade would you recommend? Just a new bearing, or something like the IMS Solution with a direct oil feed? If anyone knows of a reputable mechanic in Michigan, please let me know! Thanks!
