to be honest I have tried with all of my 175 lbs and the damn thing will not budge as I bounce on it. I did find out from Pedros Garage that it cannot be installed backwards. I will continue to work on it. THANKS

well I finally had some luck. After replacing the trailing arms, drop links, control arms, sway bar bushings and the toe links I finally replaced the shock assembly. Since I did not know whether the shock was the problem I bought a used assembly from Ebay and put it on. NO MORE CLUNK. I had not found any problems with any of the other components but probably needed to replace them anyway. Replacing the shock assembly was a bit more difficult than I imagined but finally done. Thank goodness for a small jack to move components up and down so I could everything back in place. THANKS GUYS

just to add to my story, I am replacing the other side now and when I took the old bad shock apart I found two problems; one, the bump stop was down to about 1/2" thick and the new was about 3". Two, the shock itself could be pushed closed easily with one hand and pulled out with one hand. Glad I changed the first one and glad I am changing the other side as well.
