I have ultimate cup holders in both my 986 (no cup holders) and my 02 996T that has factory cup holders.
No affiliation but well worth it and they offer a PCA discount just email him.

Those look nice. Any problems with your coffee poking you in the back of the knee?
I seem to remember seeing a Boxster cup holder that was basically a sheet of billet aluminum, and slid into the slot between the bottom of the dash and the top of the center console.
