Default Struts & Springs

Hello, I have a 2004 Boxster base and in need of struts & springs. Found a used set off of a 2002 Boxster S with 35k.

Will these fit and work on my base Boxster?

Thanks!

The S is a heavier car and has the suspension components that reflect this. Moving these to a base model while they might fit may not result in an acceptable ride.

Why do you need struts and springs? Are the struts leaking? My 2002 base went 317K miles on its factory struts/springs. More than once I asked the Porsche tech about redoing the suspension and he said the car feels fine and as long as the struts aren't leaking they are ok.

Macster, my struts have 75k on them and two of them have blown seals

How much heavier is an S than a base.
