Default engine harness: tip vs manual

I have a 2002 manual transmission with a bad engine. I sourced a 2000 tip engine. Question: will the engine harness for the tip engine work (leaving maybe some leftover and unused plugs for the tip ecu) or do I need to pull off my old harness and put it on the new engine?

You need to transfer your harness to the new engine. Alternator too, the automatic one doesn't have the clutch in it.
