Default Litronic update problem

I have just purchased a couple of lights to replace my burnt out halogen housings. After a 2 hour struggle to remove the right light and after putting the HID’s in i am having issues. The lights will go on and stay on for a few seconds after which they go off.
Anyone having this issue?
I replaced the old halogens back and all seems OK. Do I need to have anything reprogrammed?
Any advice?

Did you do a full Litronic upgrade? Housings etc, or an HID upgrade? If you did the full litronics you need all the extra stuff too. There is a relay and ballast (I think) and a couple of other things, they are not a simple plug and play if you have original halogens. If you did an HID upgrade into your halogen housings you need a full kit of relays and ballasts as well. One for each bulb. Should have been a kit, unless you just bought bulbs...

I have the entire Litronic housing. Ballast is contained.
I have not replaced the fuses with higher amp ones.
That might be the problem

Unless it calls for higher amp fuses I wouldn't do that. That could fry your fuse box. I'm not sure if the Litronics require a different relay, but it wouldn't surprise me. If no one here can tell you, give a dealer a call and they can tell you if you need a different relay.
