Default Has anyone shipped a 986 convertible top?

I am looking at a top in FL and might ship to WI. Anyone shipped a top? I would ask shop to build a wooden crate out of a pallet and some plywood and 2x4s. I'm thinking it would be under 150 pounds. Trying to get an 03 or 04 top with a glass window. Thanks.

Mine came wrapped in a furniture pad and a lot of shrink wrap. Bunches of packing tape, too. If you're nervous about the glass window use to furniture pads--you can get nice ones at Harbor Freight. Mine had a vinyl window, but came through shipping just fine.

A big wooden box is overkill. BTW, use Fedex.
