Minneapolis PPI?
Two questions really. I am looking at a doing a long distance transaction and buying a 986 Boxster in Minneapolis. Can someone suggest a shop or 2 for a PPI?
Also, the car had some recent work done on it by German Autoworks. Can someone comment on these folks reputation?
Many thanks for any and all help.

Imola Motorsports and German Autoworks are "generic" import shops. They would do an ok job IMO. Why don't you have Porsche of Mpls do the PPI? I have them work on my GT3 and know the mechanics there. Let me know if you want my help at all..
You could PM me if you like as well...

Thanks for the offer MJ. I may, or may not, get a deal done with the seller. But if I reach a point where "eye's on the car" become part of the conversation, I'll let you know.

About this time last year, I bought a Boxster S from a private seller in Minneapolis. The PPI was done by Porsche Minneapolis. I was less than impressed. They completely misdiagnosed a couple of minor issues and then botched mounting and balancing a new set of tires.
From the records on the car, German Autoworks had done most of the maintenance. It was all really good, including a new IMS and cluch.
So from direct but limited experience in Minneapolis, go with German Autoworks.
