Default How to attach upholstery to new seat foam

I am replacing the foam on my driver seat on my 04. The old foam had a metal rod moled into the foam that the hog rings joined the upholstery to the foam but the new foam does not have the steel rod. It looks to me that Porsche changed the design and maybe has a cone shaped piece on the under side of the foam that maybe uses zip ties to tie the upholstery to the foam. So far I have not been able to find any detailed pictures of how they tied these together. I did think about cutting the metal rods from the old foam and trapping the foam between the upholstery and foam using zip ties. Any suggestions, thought or links? Thank you.

Solved, I just cut the metal rods from the old foam layer them on the bottom of the foam and used the hog rings to attach.
