fried egg headlight assy. question
I'm considering purchase of a fried egg headlight Porsche, either Boxster or 996. Beautiful cars, fried egg look not so much.
Question for those with a Boxster handy: Is the amber portion of the glazing bonded or glued on, such that it could be peeled off with heat and a razor blade, etc? (I had a quick look at such a car at a used car lot recently, and it seemed like the basic assembly is cast in clear plastic, with an amber decal overlay, so I wonder if the overlay can be removed and the clear plastic under it wet sanded smooth.)

They're all interchangeable, so you could very easily swap the assembly out for a non-amber variety. If you don't care about litronics, they're not very expensive.
