Which would you- 205/45 or 215/45 ?
This isn't for the Pcar, but I think that the answer is fairly universal. Which width/sidewall combo offers more lateral grip?
This is for the Mini, 17x7" square. Re71r options are 205/45 or 215/45. Too bad that there is no 215/40... The stock size is 205/45, but a 215/45 fits fine. The trade-off is treadwidth vs sidewall height. I'm not as concerned about the acceleration difference from the overall diameters and the effect on gearing. This is a momentum car so keeping the speed up with more cornering grip is the aim.
My 1st place reign of terror came to an end at the last event by 0.004s. And I'd rather not have that happen again Time to replace the aged Z2 Dunlops, which weren't a match for the competition's re71's to begin with.
Cheers!
