Default 944 SCCA XP build

So I have been AutoXing with my swapped 944 for the past few years in XP. Having looked at the preparation of competitors, it was apparent I was at a gun fight with a knife. Not cool.
My goal is 2250 lbs.
No Roll bar (yet)
500 hp/ 460tq LS1
AOR Transaxle
Coil-over/ koni suspension
weltmiester sways
335/30/18 squared

Here's what I started with, someone had already started to seam weld the chassis. ( If that's what you'd call it)

Default Wide Body

Here are pics of the wide body kit as I designed it. You can find more pics of the body kit in the 944 forum.

Not 100% on aero yet. Here I'm playing with one wing core, and the rule book.

Default Fab work

First off I am not a welder, nor would I consider myself a metal fabricator. I'm learning as I progress so some of the images may be disturbing to professionals.
What I can say is that I'm enjoying every minute ( Almost, respirators for hrs sucks!).

Pics of metal removal before fender attachment.

Default Making room for the 335's

I know that other flares fit 335's( I have a car wearing them), but I may want to go wider in the future.

Default Fab

So happy that certain images are blurry, embarrassing beads abound!! Having to start, stop, and restart the welds is terrible for someone without patience!

The plan for fuel so far is this:
Passenger side bulkhead with 5 gallon fuel cell suspended from bulkhead lid.
Filter and pump located at the raised rear seat pan.

The exhaust:
3" duals to single muffler. Dual in, dual out. Then exit just rear of the passenger side jack point.

Default fab

Front end work and adjustable pedals.
I reversed the pitch of the radiator and lowered it an inch. The pitch was to make better use of the louvered hood.

Default fab

Boxed trans X-member
TT after weight loss and I added brackets that bolt up to the tunnel x-member to stiffen and deter rotation.

Default Back to bodywork

Latest pics of chassis. I'm back to fiberglass work. In the winter. Terrible!!
Just made front fenders, front end is next.

I'll post pics of the chassis again once front fenders are on and straight.

I was able to lay up the last three pieces of the body yesterday. The only thing left to make is the aero: wing, splitter and canards.
The front clip is <25#
With a little luck I'll be painted and working on assembly by the end of the month.
