That's really amazing. Has to be rewarding work.

Project has been put on hold for a little while, but the parts are coming!

Just arrived!

These are Slo-Motion Speedshop headers for the 944/LS conversion and are absolutely gorgeous! The craftsmanship is beyond my expectations. Chris at Slo-mo could not have been a nicer guy. Shipping was immediate.
I've used Renegade headers and TPC tubular manifolds and there is simply no comparison.

Here are some pictures from late spring. Unfortunately this project got sidelined for a much longer duration than I expected.

The first few images are before buff and polish. The body panels are not aligned yet only hanging on the chassis.
I had to keep telling myself that it was a race car and not a show car so I didn't spend too much time on the paint and body. I can be very particular.
The paint was 15hrs of spraying and taping the stripes. It was an all nighter.
The car has been double dipped with clear as well.
All of the colors used are Original Porsche codes from model year '87 like the chassis.

95% of the parts for the build are on hand, it is now only a matter of finding the time to assemble the old girl!

So, when and where do I have to be to see this run in person once it's together?

Spring 2016. TireRack. South Bend ,IN.
Unless I finish it mid winter and trailer it to a warmer climate the initial runs will be at Tirerack.

If I'm not mistaken I've seen your Targa at a PCA event there haven't I ???

My car has a proper roof. Never been to the Tire Rack facility, but do travel to Midwestern national events so perhaps I will get to see it. Neat.

I was able to get the front suspension hung and the hubs built Saturday afternoon.
It was then time to put the car on the ground for the first time since fall 2013.
Again, the body panels are just hanging on the chassis not aligned. Also it is sitting much higher than it will ever be driven. Not enough weight on the chassis to collapse the helper springs even.

The wheels fitted are 18x12 with Pzero slicks- 305's. I have a 55mm spacer on the rear to bring it out to the fender edge ( for photos only). It looks like a 13" wheel may fit the front and the rear will gobble up a 14". I now plan to use a 14" on the rear.
