We've had an issues with offroad tires, though not on Cayennes. Locally, we require highway tires; offroad SUV tires have excessive flex during cornering and can come off the rim.
Maybe if horribly under inflated. Otherwise they should push long before coming off the bead. SUV/truck tires of all sizes are designed to handle huge loads and side loads for hauling, trailers etc. Sidewalls are often much more robust than car tires.
I've run slalom courses many time doing official testing on lifted Jeeps and working with several of the aftermarket suspension companies.
Here are some pics of us running some test with 35" MTRs and 35" Toyos. You can see from the pics that the tires are no where near leaving the wheels.
The black Jeep just happens to have beadlocks on this day but you can see from the tire flex it was not even close to an issue.
