Anyone going to the Zone 1 autocross in Devens in August
 

I am thinking about attending. Has anyone done a PCA Zone 1 ax before. How many show up? Is it worth doing? What's the competition like compared to SCCA Divisional/National events? I know Devens is a great lot but its a long pull for me and my car is not prepped to the limit of PCA rules so I would like to be sure its worth it before going. TIA - Alan

Wife and I will be there. Good guess is maybe 100 drivers?

I will be there. Devens is a great location, it will pull lots of folks from the Boston area, NH, ME, CT, NY and NJ. Last year's was a moderate turn out and got cut short for a couple reasons we won't go into. It will be a haul for you and only you can determine if it's worth it. For me it's, a great lot (airport) tons of Porsches = winner. Don't worry if your car is maxed to the limit of the rules, it's auto-x! come and have fun!!

I will be there, but I probably won't drive. Great event put on by a great club!

Won't be there since I live in Florida nowadays, I have being to a few back in the 90's when it was ran in different location's, just go and have fun and if you see my old friend Howard in his Silver 76 Targa {NNJR} say hello to him for me.

No idea, but it's $45?? better be darn good. Don sent out the reg confirmation today. Does anybody know the current number of reg'd entrants??

As of 7/31 there was 27 drivers signed up.

I'm sure that # will increase dramtically within a week or so..... If not , more runs for us!! If I get spanked by the Schnorrs again I'll be pissed!! :grr:

I think it was the same last year with last min sign ups.

Must compete both days to trophy
Team Challenge for All PCA Regions
Registration opens 8 AM sharp; First car off approx 9:15 AM
Porsche cars only
Dinner on Saturday night after the event.

Cost
$60/person early bird-registration until 8/15/09
$85/person after 8/15/09 or at event
Amounts are for one or two days
Maximum 2 drivers per car per class
