RA-1's at 40 psi hot will ensure perfect results.

alot of people run them in the rain keeping the cold pressures the same as they do on a dry track not realizing that the 2-3 psi difference that the tire never achieves is significant in whether the tire grips or slips, it took me a full day of lappin in the rain to realize why my back end kept flying out... its amazing how a little difference in the PSI makes a huge difference in grip levels.

40 PSI? Much higher than I run them on my SC. For autox, I run them at 28F/30R hot, for track 30/32.

I would say you are fine driving on them to the event. If I go with the RA-1's next year, I'm planning on just leaving them on all the time.

if they have little or no tread left (which is good at the track) a police officer may pull you over.

Here is some good info on the RA1s:

http://www.philstireservice.com/page...res_toyo_1.htm

It covers temps, tire pressures, camber/caster settings.

So have you gotten the car running yet fork? Havent heard from you in a while. Good to see you still know how to ruffle some feathers.

right now i have the front suspension completly taken off and a new one just laying there... waiting for some bolts and brake hoses in the mail, ive been really lazy with the car, but it will be done.. eventualy.
