MCS sold you non-remotes for your Cayman? They told me they refused to sell non-remote rears for Boxster/Cayman due to the proximity of the exhaust, and insisted upon remote resevoir.

They just started making them his month. I’m not sure why that’s be an issue I mean non remote reservoirs shocks just have a regular shock body like all other shocks. It’s probably less ideal than remote canisters but it’s no different from stock.

i wasn’t sure where to start but the JRZ shocks I had initially bought but decided not to go with had 600/700 springs and was on a cayman track car. I figured that kinda made sense given you need a bit more spring in the rear. I’m sure I’ll end up changing spring rates again later but I’ll start with this first and see how they work.

Finally got a chance to install the GT2 seats and Schorth GT3 6-pt harness today. Feels amazing to finally have seats in the car that properly hold you in.

Hated the fact that the seatbelt was just sitting there on the side bolster when not in use. Used these Jade Seatbelt Guides that I've use on my Recaro Pole Position seats in other cars and it worked great on the GT2 seats as well.
Also just noting from another post I found, this paint is a really good match for Stone Grey
Used it to have spare black rear speaker panels painted since we're going to have to cut some holes so I can get to the shock adjustment *****

Wow. Love those Advan Racing Wheels. Are you going to run 255/35r18 and 265/35r18 RE71Rs on these? Curious why you didn't go up to 9" wide on the fronts?

That's correct. I'll be running 255/265. Honestly, I ended up with these specs because I ordered them before I decided to switch the STU. I agree that 9" wide is more optimal for a 255 tire but I don't think it's going to make that much of a difference. I ran 265s up front last year on the 8.5" wheel and they were really barely pinched. Even S2000 CRs run 255 on the rear from the factory on an 8.5" wheel so I think it'll be fine. Incidentally, it'll prob help with resale in the future being a more "normal" size but that's just a coincidence and not a primary consideration.
