Default 993 and 997 Turbo moved to SS; 997 non-Turbo proposed for move to AS

From this month's Fastrack:

Recommended Items
The following subjects will be referred to the Board of Directors for approval.

Street
#24097 reclass 997 porsche turbo
Per the SAC, make the following change to Appendix A:
Move from exclusion list to SS
Porsche
911 Turbo (997 chassis)(exc S, GT2)(2006-12)
911 Turbo (993 chassis)(1995-99)

Change Proposals

Street
#24743 Consider Reevaluation of non-turbo 996 & 997 Porsche 911
The SAC would like member feedback on the following proposal (effective date 1/1/2020):
Move from SS to AS:
Porsche 911 Carrera (inc 4, S, 4S) (997 chassis)(2005-12)
The recommended items (Turbo moves) are almost a done deal, and would be effective next year (2019). The change proposals (non-Turbo moves) are still just proposals, and would be effective in 2020.

Discuss. Things to consider while discussing: what obscure options would you want if you were building the ultimate autocross 997? How common are those options? Can they be retrofit after the fact?

For AS, I believe a 997.2 GTS is the easy button - 2WD with the extra space and wheel of a 4WD model, 20 extra HP, etc.

Per the above quote, the proposal is to move "Porsche 911 Carrera (inc 4, S, 4S) (997 chassis)(2005-12)". I believe the GTS is included in that description.

the 981 S and GTS are both in SS. There is a proposal out for member comment to move both to AS.

As a 981S owner, I’m waiting on this proposal to hopefully become reality. My local region has very few cars in SS and a lot of folks in AS, with several strong drivers. It’s no fun playing alone.

Yeh, but my TurboS is still excluded from SS I just sent off a request to change that as the only difference between a optioned out non-S and a S is having 0.2bar of extra boost (~30hp) for an unlimited time vs. a limited time for the non-S.

I disagree. I think GTS would be listed if it were intended to be included.
