Speaker break-in
I've had a number of great speakers through the years, but have never seen any timeframe on breaking them in.
I just got a very nice set of Wharfedale diamond 10.1 for my garage.
They are great sounding speakers, but I'm dying to crank them. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

It varies with manufacturer, and sometimes they include it in the literature. I met the west coast rep for Wharfedale a few weeks ago. I'll get an answer for you if you haven't already got it.

The break-in refers to when the speaker will sound it's best and has nothing to do with turning it up to a loud volume. I just got some Evolution Acoustics MMMicro Ones and they recommend up to 600 hous of break-in for them to sound their best. The speakers suspension has to loosen up for best sound quality as they are stiff when new. YMMV

As previously stated, the spiders will be a little stiff when new til broken in.
Also, you didn't state if your garage is heated.
If not, the surrounds will be a lot stiffer as well when cold so bottom end will suffer.
But then they are only 5" woofers.

Well, just as many people believe in psychics too.
All jokes aside, those reviewers are wrong and yes, that many can be wrong easily.
Just play your speakers and enjoy them from day one, minute one.
