Installed the PCCM Plus about a week ago, everything was working great until today when I tried to start the car and the battery was flat.
After I eventually got the car jump started everything seemed normal but seems like there's an issue with the CANBUS on the PCCM Plus
A few times it would not turn off automatically after removing the key, also even after I manually turned it off, if I hit unlock the head unit turned itself back on.

Wondering if anyone's experienced these issues.
I tried changing the standby power setting on the head unit and also a factory reset but seems to persist.

Interesting, I'll go out to the garage in a bit and see if mine does that.

Edit: My radio does not turn on with key fob and unlocking the door

Tested again, yesterday it was totally fine. Take key out and it turns off.
Today yet again it boots up randomly with the key removed
Car started fine, battery wasn't weak. I have seen cars have CANBUS communication glitches when the battery is low
Suspect there are some compatibility issues and kinks they have to work out with the Canbus coding.
have installed a handful of aftermarket decks on 997 and never had these issues with Metra/Connects2/Crux modules.
Surprised to see it from factory Porsche, this was ordered from the local dealership with VIN supplied too

Factory Porsche but it's a Chinese unit. You might have a bad one.

No, just says APP on the central cluster.

I saw that. I got mine from Porsche Silver Spring. Waiting for them to ship mine... They said I was #15 in line. ugh.

But i'd rather wait to lock in that price. Porsche of Long Beach had them selling for $1600 last I called them and they told me they had 12 in stock. I'd rather save a few hundred and be patient.

Had PCCM+ installed this week on my ‘05 Carrera S Cab. Yesterday, the radio would not turn off when I turned off the key and opened the door. I had to turn it off manually, but then the unit started back up on its own with no key in the ignition. Turned it off again, went in the house for a few minutes, came back out in the garage and the radio had come back on again. Turned it off, disconnected and reconnected the battery. Started the car, turned on the radio, and then shut down the car. The radio turned off as it should. Got out, locked the car and the radio hasn’t come back on. Anxious to see if this will be a continuing problem…

I’m interested as well. I picked up an ‘09 last week and would love to have CarPlay with a factory PCM. Mine is a basic as the come, no AUX/iPod kit. Just AM/FM/Disc.

Thanks for such detailed instructions! Although most likely NOT installing myself, I like knowing what needs to be done to ensure it will be done correctly! Quick question please: I have an Mobridge - had never installed in original PCM. Forgive total ignorance: I have Bose system in 997.1 - will the Mobridge give me wireless CarPlay with the new PCCM+?? Many thanks in advance!
