Talking A decent sound stage in a 944?

Hey guys. New user here, but certainly not new to Rennlist! Anyways, I have had my '86 944 for a little while now, and I've been anxious to jump into putting some great sound in my favorite car. The interest is to keep the car itself as stock as possible, at least on the surface. So far, I've put Infinity Kappa 4x6 plates in the doors and in the rear speaker spots, and I've got a sub box about ready to go into the back with two 8s. (I love my bass.) The problem, as you might imagine is that there isn't nearly enough mid power coming from the Kappas. My brain says a set of 6.5s and some tweeters would really fill out the whole range and sound nice, but I don't have anywhere to put any more cones! I can't stand when the sound obviously comes from behind me, so I am skeptical of putting them in the back somewhere. Any ideas from you guys? thanks!
