Best setup for a 996?

Hey everyone...brand new owner here. I’m doing a little research on what my best option is for a clean double din Nav setup. I’d like to have apple airplay, phone connectivity, etc. Here is what the inside of my new car looks like. Stock radio w/ cd changer, climate control, some form of audio tuner at the bottom (don’t know the technical term) and a tray. Is it possible to move the climate control to the spot where the tray is and make room for nav?

What head unit works well and looks good? Pioneer NEX-??? Something else?
Will this require all new wires to existing car speakers? Or is there an adapter to tap into existing stuff?
Any other intel from you experienced folks to help figure out what to get?

Certainly appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm looking for the same thing for my 2004 C4S with PCM2 and in-frunk CD changer. However, I don't need Nav.

2K 996 audio upgrade

I replaced all the speakers with polk db speakers and put a kenwood double din in dash along with a kenwood 5 channel amp in the frunk. I put a boxed 8 inch kicker sub behind the driver's seat.

sounds great and it was under $1000. 4x6 plates in front dash and back seats and 51/4 in doors.
