Default Coolant leak

So my car is getting the starter replaced when I noticed coolant behind front passenger wheel. Is that usually from a clamp or hose or radiator. Glad I bought fidelity warranty platinum since they cover starters. They don't cover hoses or clamps so I'm kind of hoping it is the radiator.

With only 31k on it kind of bummed to have to replace either but I know it's a 10 year old car. I wish I didn't replace the battery first before realizing it was the starter.

Thanks-Sid

I had a coolant leak as well recently, apparently the radiators on these cars are not very robust, at least that is what my shop told me. I believe the end tanks on them are plastic and prone to failing, something like that.

I also have Fidelity and they covered the radiator no problem. Oh and there are 3 radiators, 1 down 2 to go.

Default Maybe AC?

Just behind the front passenger wheel is a tube for the AC drain. See pic.

My 996tt leaked from there and it was an o-ring. $1 part, more labor than I wanted to do, but my time was free. Before you go full replacement on a radiator, you may want to check that first.

Radiator leaks are generally in front of the tiree. may be a hose or one of the junctions got unseated. that happened to me

Any ideas what caused it? A rock through the front? I've been thinking of getting a mesh grille and wonder this could have been prevented.

I have zun sport grills. They said it was a pin hole. Maybe it was there before I put on the grill but was just very little.

I just went thru the same thing with a radiator, shop said the end tanks are plastic, poorly designed and will fail eventually. Aftermarket replacements dont have the plastic end tanks and will last "forever" - at least that is what they told me.

It's on the car already, you can tell it's different than the driver side from what is visible - which kind of irritates me but once the other one goes they will match. I'll try and remember to grab a pic, car is at shop getting exhaust installed, I will try and remember to ask them what they put on instead of OEM.
