Default Fair market price for brand new single 997.1TT wheels?

I have a couple of 997.1TT wheels, one front, and one rear that I am looking to sell. They are both 100% OEM, brand new in the box, never even had a tire mounted on them. What is a fair price to ask for these?

The fronts seem to sell for A LOT more than the rears.

Not certain on the reason,.. but I would speculate that people use 4 of the fronts on Carreras,... and also that fronts are more likely to get bent on a pot-hole.

I see very nice used rears on Ebay from time to time in the mid $300's,... but a mint front,... not re-finished is rare as hen's teeth,.. and usually they're asking like $900 or more.

What color are yours? (The paint in-between the spokes).

Mine are a dark anthracite color,.. but they also did them in a gray,.. and black.

I've been looking for a mint front and rear,... but am thinking of doing lighter aftermarket wheels and selling mine off instead.

Thanks..I wasn't sure where to price them, but I saw that they go for anywhere from $1800-$2500 at dealerships and online sites, so I decided to list them on Ebay for $1249 for the front and $1339 for the rear, free shipping with an OBO option. I figure I will likely sit on them for awhile, but I got them for free so not in a rush to sell. If someone comes along and offers less I would likely take it.

Also I wasn't aware that they came in different colors between the spoke. I think mine are the same as yours (anthracite). Here is a pic for reference.

That's way too expensive IMO. Complete sets in great condition regularly sell for $1200-$1500, often including tyres.

I will say I did some searching for what complete sets were going for in different condition with/without tires, and I had a hard time finding any in that price range. But then again, I didn't look terribly hard. I found one set near mint for around $3500. A beat up set was around $1500 IIRC. A single wheel that needed refinishing was about $800.

it's all good. I'll sit on them if I have to and my price is an asking price. Not set in stone. There has to be someone out there who is **** about their 997 Turbo that damaged a mint set of wheels and doesn't want to ruin the original finish by having them repainted or powdercoated. Thats my target audience

We can all quote asking prices, but a really nice OEM set that sells is $1,500-2,000. Nice aftermarket (HRE, BBS) generally $2,500-3,500. I think you're way off the mark. Unclear to me whether a single wheel would command a premium (somebody trying to solve a problem and needs to replace just one), versus a discount (if parts were worth more than sets, we'd all sell parts).

I agree, you'll never get 1300 each I'm afraid. Entire sets can be had for $1000-2000 max. I'd ask $500 each on them and move on.

Oh, I read too fast and assumed OP's prices were for front and rear pairs. I agree that per wheel that's way high.

I would expect singles to come with a price premium, but be harder to sell (especially comparing selling four singles to a set of four). I doubt the bit extra you'd earn would be worth splitting up the set.

On the other hand, you occasionally see people selling three wheels, because one was damaged or whatever. In that case you take a hit on price and liquidity, so I expect those folks might be better served selling three singles, or a pair and a single. Especially if they're OEM wheels.

Fair enough. I will adjust my listing price accordingly. Not trying to rip anyone off, just wasn't sure what these go for and all I have to go off of is their new price from dealerships and tuning companies like ECS, and what people are getting for used sets. That being said, assuming this was a perfect world, I don't feel that my price is unreasonable (keep in mind, these are brand new in the original box and they go for around $2300 each) but the issue is they are a very tough sell given that it's not a complete set and people would rather buy some tarnished used wheels for dirt cheap and powdercoat them.
