Default 991.2 multifunction works in a 997.1

I have a 991.2 in my 997.1 and could not figure out the multifunction. This genius did, and sells the upgrade.

Have you tried it? The dash in his video looks like it's more modern than a 997.1

If you look at his FB page, he does it on a 997.1. I'm ordering one

Shadow did you originally have a multi-function wheel or does his mod give you multi-function even if you had a standard wheel?

I'm confirming things up. I did not have a multifunction wheel. I added the 991.2 wheel and a new module. I will let you know if it has to be programmed for multifunction with a piwis.

He said no programming needed, but he's in China, so I confirming. I don't want anything lost in translation. More to come.

if you have non-multifuciton 997.1 wheel you will still need the 997.2 steering wheel module first (then programmed with PIWIS to turn multifunction on)... the lim-bus adapter will then translate the protocols to get the multifucinotn steering controls to actually work.

Hi Guys, fitted the adapter today, it was really quick and easy. No programming necessary, as I was already set for mutifunction. Works flawlessly, real plug and play.
My Turbo is a 2007 with PCM3 retrofit.
One of the best and most simple mods, that works out the box (Like DSC) that I've yet done.

I followed the thread on 6Speed, reread if a lot, and got some help from a chap in the U.K. that had performed the retrofit. If you are interested to do it yourself, PM me and I will give you all the information.

Dumb question...what can you control on a multifunction? Can you change sport mode / pasm / psm?

Thx!
