Would you ever?

I first just scanned through the pics and thought, "eh, why not, .2 conversion looks decent and the miles aren't that crazy..." - and then I got to the wreck photos and saw it was salvaged and rebuilt. Probably an okay car now but for just a few grand more you can get an intact original.

I have had salvage cars. NOTHING wrong with them, as long as you do the work yourself. I wouldn't trust a salvage build done by someone else.
Also, the price needs to be right. He is pricing it VERY close to clean title cars. Knock 10K off and its a bargain.

That's ridiculous. My buddy is one of the biggest salvage car dealers in the country. A salvage 2007 turbo goes for 30-35K NOT FIXED. This is a car with no frame damage.
They are hard to buy at that number and the bidding is intense.
The price for a salvage car when fixed is 15-20 percent lower than an equivalent non salvage car.
They aren't half price dude!

Check out cars.com. You can get a non salvage title no accident 997.1 Turbo with 65k miles for mid to upper 50s. Ridiculous or not, I would not touch a salvage title car with a 100k+ mile rebuilt motor unless I get a massive discount. I'm not even sure I'd do it for 30k. The op was not asking what the correct price is for this car. The op was asking "would you ever do it". For me, not at that price. I'd only do it for a 50% discount or more. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I always feel that a salvage title car isn't as safe as a clean title car. Sometimes it's a little thing that makes all the difference. The factory car was built to a spec and crash tested. Is the rebuilt car just as good? I'll never know and definitely don't want that in the back of my mind.
I"m not sure I would want a .2 conversion. I like cars that don't pretend to be anything else.

Again, having had one, much of it will be in the owner's head. I have done full restorations of some of my cars - early air cooled important cars that were CLEAN TITLE cars with tons of rust and other issues. They were blasted down to bare chassis with much welding done. Now they are as new, but again, CLEAN TITLE.
Then, I have had a salvage car that had far less damage...crunched front bumper cover and left fender. This car, while carrying a salvage title, actually had LESS DAMAGE than some of my clean title cars.
Basically, salvage cars need to be bought on a case by case basis. Some are more wrecked than others....
