Have never been a huge fan of aftermarket warranties, I have never had one just always seems like you pay all this money and they fight you on repairs.

IMO best thing to do is have like 5-10K set aside for a repair on one of these cars.

I sure an axle replacement at the dealership is in the 3K range.

Axles are relatively cheap and it only takes a couple of hours to swap one out. It's pretty simple. I wouldn't get wrapped around the axle with this..

I had a different experience with them, I had a small pixel go out on my instrument cluster, it was off to the side near the "mph" on the speedo part.. Took it in and had no hassles, fully covered. Of course the only approved repair is full replacement, so I took that time to "upgrade" (I paid the delta) to the red-dial version that was available on the MY09 turbos.. My warranty paid for itself with this one repair, Ive still got over a year left..

Default Key is Dealer

I have Fidelity Platinum and I've found that the key is how your dealer associate presents the issue. I recently had the rear spoiler hydraulics go out and they replaced the entire thing.

Update: Porsche Burlingame (and service advisor Chris Yip) did a tremendous job getting things straightened out and covered with Fidelity. I can't recommend these guys enough. Correlation =/= causation and Fidelity eventually ended up doing the right thing and fully covered the repair.

Great news...maybe the good faith gesture will come back to them in the way of business from a reader on the forum.

Hey Hella, anything specific they did to get your boots covered?

I was under the car this morning and noticed BOTH front CV boots are torn and leaking.. I dont have any front end vibration yet, and I have Fidelity platinum policy..

I see that CV boots are excluded on the policy, so I may have to tackle this one myself..
