you can find that gen M5's cheap too. my buddy picked up a lightly used one for almost half msrp iirc.

I used to own an M6 with SMG, that tranny put a bad taste in my mouth for $120k car. I am sure the newer dual clutch is much improve but I have to get pass that stigma of slush box.

I would go for the RS3 !

Some of you have a different view on 'compact' than me.
This is my compact sports car. Honestly one of the best cars I have ever owned.
And all in all , the car I like driving most. Not available in the US unfortunately.


M135i soon to be replaced by the M140i.

We don't have them in hatchback form as that's not popular over here but we do have them in coupe form.

The closest hatch compare to RS3 in America is VW Golf R

You mentioned "small island" in a previous post. In this case I think your choice of car depends somewhat on the servicing available unless this "small island" has adequate servicing for all the cars you are considering.

Here in Honolulu Hawaii, we have most of exotic dealership from VW, Audi, BMW, Benz, Alfa, Jag, Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati, Lexus. I think we have most of command exotic brands except Aston and Morgan.
