Fastest 0-60 mph for a manual 997 turbo
Whats the fastest box verified 0-60 mph for a manual 997 turbo you've achieved?
I managed 0-60 mph in 3.3 secs yesterday.
Don't know what the purpose of 1 ft roll out but that registered at a staggering 3 secs flat!
I'm running GT2 VTG hybrids with 62mm compressor wheel. Very pleased as they're boogers to launch well and I was running into a 25 mph headwind.

Is this a 997.1?
Fastest magazine time I ever saw for stock 0-60 was 2.9 seconds for a 997.2 which was a 6 speed if I remember correctly for Motor Trend (vs Corvette comparison). They broke that car (turbo?) by the next portion of testing and it didn't finish.
Maybe quick due to sea level testing?

Hi yes mines a 997.1 but I don't think it makes much difference whether .1 or .2
Just a bit of fun but on the right tarmac I think I may be able to get down to 3 secs flat. Sub 3 secs tough though so may be 1ft roll out time US mag are quoting - many US mags quote 1 ft roll out times I think?
Never really done any straight line launching before a few years ago and I'm surprised how tough it is to get right in a 997. Too many revs and wheels just spin too little and you bog down. Tarmac I use either in poor condition or uphill gradient so a little bit disadvantaged.
There is a trick to it though which I only worked out yesterday. Best 0-100 mph is 6.7 secs by the way
Interested what other owners have managed in manuals. Big power really doesn't help you.

I think most people include the 1-foot rollout when stating times..Ive heard from others that the car mags do..
I've got a vbox but honestly I haven't even tried a 0-60 in my 997.1 MT. Dont feel this car is a drag racer so I dont want to abuse the clutch too much..
Those times you posted are impressive, BTW

^^ broke a rear drive shaft and virtually new 890nm sachs clutch exploded last year whilst finessing my launch technique just before an event so understand why most people never put the drive train under any meaningful strain. At least I know she's making reasonable power!
Here's the 1ft roll out.

1ft roll out is how most magazines report 0-60.
I have recorded a 2.8 in my 997TT on the street
In my 996TT I have done 2.4s 0-60 on big drag radials without a shift in 1 gear.
here is my friends 997.1 doing 2.8 on the street...

Hi P, that car is angry lol. You migrated too?!
Built engines on drag radials no fair
From the event. Not my best run as I couldn't get 5th gear but start was alright at 3.5 secs. Car on right is a gen 2 ES 650 PDK using all the gizmos and managed to pretty much match the robot launching.

What is that? 1/2 mile; 1/4? I used to go to the drags back in my mustang days. Launching a car is not easy. AWD should help a bit. Try it at a 1/4 mile track with the tree; 60', etc.
Good times btw

Hi JG 1.3 miles lol. Wasn't a fast day as 20-25mph headwinds all day but good fun non the less. Terminal Velocity 6 at RAF Woodbridge. Great bunch of people.
