Default Hello fellas...long time 996 owner upgraded to 997.1tt

Just like the title says. I have had two 996's since 2006 and loved every minute of it. Never fell into the hype and scare of the IMS issues. One was a 2000 Cab and my last one being a 2003 coupe with full aero and a lot of little nice upgrades, both were speed yellow. Unfortunately, I got rear ended last December and insurance totaled it. i had been looking for a TT for about 6 months now with plans of keeping the 996 as a DD and the TT as a weekend toy, but now the TT will be my DD toy. I was actually looking for a Speed yellow 997TT but nice clean ones with no upgrades are very hard to come by so I started considering white and pulled the trigger on this 2007 the first day it came on the market at the stealership up in bakersfield. Its got pretty nice options except sport seats with 27K miles and two owners with the last one being 67 year old lady. Hope to get to know most of you and learn as much as i can as the TT is a completely new beast to me.

Here is my beloved 996

That looks like the nicest stock, white 2007 997 Turbo in the US! Way to go... got interior pics? The first 2 pics make it look BRAND NEW. You must have been floored when you went to look at it.

Thank you Steve. The car is currently with my indy who is a long time friend going back to high school getting a coolant pipe change as it looked a little aged (didn't want to take any risks) but as soon as i get it back i will definitely take some more pics amd post it up. As for being clean, pics and words don't do justice. I was so amazed at the car and with multiple offers on it already i jumped on it without a PPI or thinking twice.

White 6 spds are a bit on the rare side. At most events here in South Florida it's me and maybe another guy. Great grab!! My opinion, put a nice exhaust (store ur stock one) and leave it at that, enjoy!!

Congrats - love white as well!

I also bought mine at "Day 0" at the dealership as I didn't think I could wait any time at all without someone else buying it first!

Welcome to the forum. You'll love your new Turbo. If I could give a few suggestions, you may want to look into upgrading the exhaust. I have the Europipe which I have loved from day one. And possibly a tune. I have the Softronic Tune which interfaces well with the 997 Turbo.

Enjoy.

Thank you all. Car has been a blast for the short 3 weeks i have owned it. Exhaust definitely needs an upgrade. The stock sounds so wrong for this car. I went through three different set ups on my 996 until i found the best tone i wanted. I have read a lot of good things about EP, Kline, and Fabspeed. But i want to hear a few in person before deciding.
