Wouldn't the alignment be off, bc you changed the offset of the wheels ?

I'm asking bc I picked up a vibration after putting wider rims on my car with a different offset.

I haven't aligned it yet, bc I only notice it over 100mph.

Alignment shouldnt be off, didnt change any measurements.

And having a vibration is not normally caused by an alignment....would have to be pretty far off to cause vibrations

sounds like you have an out of balance wheel(s), have them road force balanced will give you the best balance at higher speeds.

Instead of free spinning to balance, the tire is rotated against a drum that simulates the tire being run on the road. this generates a readout on pounds of imbalance. this can be mitigated somewhat with weights, but the ideal solution is to rotate the tire on the rim to end up with the lowest roadforce. I believe under 18lbs or so is considered pretty good.

Google will tell you more

Costs all depend on the shop and if tires need to be dismounted and moved to a different spot on the wheel.

and as quadcammer said if you google it there is alot of info on it.

it really does help with vibration issues. I have seen it work first hand, also I have had wheels/tires only ask for about 1oz of weight on the wheel and failed road force by alot.

Well, this posting has gone all over the map! Did the OP finally solve his vibration problem? And, if he did, what did he conclude as the reason?
