Default Does your 997 Snap, Crackle, Pop?

I'm thinking this is normal, but after a drive and you park your car, does the engine emit a ton of popping and cracking noises?

I'm thinking it's just temperature changes in the exhaust but wanted to make sure it was normal.

depends what you mean by a ton...
Mine definitely makes more noise as it cools than either my Cayenne or Mini.
I did notice when I changed from stock to the Kline exhaust that it seemed a bit less pronounced but that might be my imagination.

It's the type of noise you would generally hear after shutting off any vehicle(minus a Tesla) but they just seem to be louder and more pronounced than other cars.

Agreed and most all cars do it. You'll notice it's more dramatic if you run the car harder or if it's really cold. The metals are just cooling down.

Ah well just bought it a few months ago and it's been pretty cold ever since - but it's warming up finally!
