You guys going to Amelia Werks Reunion?
I've thought about going down to Amelia Island for the fun of it for years, but I always end up talking myself out of it. I love cars of all kinds, and I really like substantive conversations. But, I don't like to dress up. I don't like caviar. And, I don't play the stock market--index funds for me.
Again, I'm questioning whether I'll end up having any fun, or standing around by myself, or taking an expensive nap.
Will the Werks Reunion change the experience? Are my expectations simply wrong?

I'm going along with a large >10 car caravan of Porsches driving up from South Florida. It's going to be a great weekend - Werks Reunion Friday, Cars & Coffee Saturday, and Amelia Concurs Sunday. Can't beat that lineup.

There is paid Ritz parking all weekend on their driving range accessed from Scott Road. There are some small private lots just east of the range entrance on Scott also. The closest free parking is north of the Ritz along A1A and Amelia Island Parkway or can take the free shuttle from the FB airport.
The whole weekend is pretty laid back. Werks will have a bunch of Porsche guys, the Cars and Coffee has the local PCA with the some of the same Porsche guys plus the local Corvette club and other assorted makes.
