Long time lurker, I finally get to join the ranks. After searching high and low for my dream car... 997.1 with ~25k miles, unmodded, manual, and below a ($) magic number that doesn't set back a 29yr old too much. She's here. Got plated up and hit the streets last night...

Looks good ... enjoy. One pic looks like Peter Lugar's neighborhood.

Thanks all. '07, arctic silver, avid dodger of potholes (After a couple of blown tires in my previous S4), she is predominantly used to get as far away from the city on the weekends as possible and those photos are in dumbo, west side highway, Brooklyn heights, the manhattan bridge, and the last one is the Mercer Mural in soho.
More photos to come, nothing beats driving around the city at 3am if you're ever in the area.

Welcome. Great car. I also have a '97 997.1, I also live in the city (Cobble Hill). Don't keep the cars there though. Per a previous point, the roads are just too third world. Nice job on the car, now make sure you keep those wheels away from curbs, pot holes and parking attendants. Also, you got out on the west side highway to get that shot? You're a looney.

I drove Porsches in the city (Manhattan) for yrs, Brooklyn roads are too harsh. I no longer do the daily city thing with a Porsche. My daughter goes to the nyu engineering school down there in metro tech by the Manhattan br. A guy there has a couple of gt3s in one of the underground lots, took me by surprise.
OP, Car is beautiful, congrats.

Really liked the artfully concocted pics you took. It's obvious you LOVE your car like we do too. Silver is the best color for hiding dirt. YAY for that. Isn't life great, driving a silver Porsche around town? I take mine down to DC regularly, and anywhere else I feel like going. I just try to avoid bad roads but sometimes, you just have to drive SLOW and pray.
