I find it bizarre that almost half of the manual Turbos I've spotted over the last year for sale have come from Canada, with seemingly 1/3rd of the North American supply coming from Toronto alone.

Haha very true Alan. Also, where in Westchester? My family lives in Irvington now, love going home to visit whenever I get time off. Especially if I get to bring one of my bikes with me to have fun up on Bear Mountain

However, this doesn't always apply to Porsche dealers, who get some indirect benefits of carrying some high-value Porsche eye candy to showcase.

It's possibly the best part of being in Westchester...

I agree that asking price =/= selling price, but an independent dealership should be motivated to price the car in the ballpark of what it will eventually sell for. They're not in the business of storing cars.

I mean for the extreme go look at prices at Gullwing.
Just saying...

I had a 2015 turbo S cab traded it for my 2011 turbo S cab. The 997 just feels better all the way around. I think since 997.2 turbo S is the last turbo S to be limited to model end production and that there are roughly 2000 total world wide they will be heavily sought after.

If you don't mind, when I get back from deployment, lets get some rolling shots. either of the cars together or your car and my Ducati XDiavel S. Just depends on if I have a place to garage my car when im home for post deployment leave.

Just be warned my Porker is one of the model that everyone hates

I think the Canadian cars on Autotrader referenced in the last few pages (four probably real and maybe one scam) need price drops to sell as they've been on the market for a while now and haven't sold yet with summer driving coming up PDQ.
I always thought the big rush of buyers was in the spring for summer driving as if you sell late summer in Canada then the price probably needs to go down as whoever buys it is likely to put it away for the winter so they won't be driving it for a while.

So all this talk of the relative rarity of the manual 997.2 has me wondering what my 2011 with 30K miles is worth after an accident last year. Its GT silver, cocoa interior with deviated stitching in white. A lady pulled in front of me and I broad sided her toyota highlander at about 20mph. Total repairs approximated 20K--needed new radiator and new headlight. Steering wheel airbag deployed. Only metal damaged was a slight bend of the front drivers side fender. Looks good as new and I've driven it since I got it back in september of last year. I guess I just worry what the real world value is in the event I decide to sell. I ordered this car and really love it so not sure I ever will sell it.
