Default Just bought my first Porsche 997.2 Turbo 6MT

After years of various Ford Mustangs, BMW's, Audi's, and a few race cars (Formula Mazda and Prince DSR) I bought my first Porsche. I have been lurking on RL for awhile watching the classifieds and reading the technical forums.

After much deliberation I bought Andrew's 2012 997.2 Turbo which had some modifications, a 6 MT, and a CPO warranty with some time left on it.
Manual 2012 CPO 997.2 Turbo (43k miles).

Notable factory options:

- Adaptive Sport Seats (heated)
- Limited Slip Differential
- Sport Chrono wart with Dynamic Motor Mounts
- Dynamic Headlights
- Satellite
- Bluetoooth
- Clear Taillights

Modifications:
- Europipe Exhaust
- GIAC/Champion Tune w/ Flashloader (roughly 600HP)
- TPC DSG PASM upgrade
- GMG springs w/ more aggressive alignment
- GT3 Front lower control arms (for camber)
- Tarrett Rear toe links
- OEM Short Shift kit
- HRE FF01 Wheels w/ Super Sports
- Real titanium lug nuts
- Sport Design Steering Wheel
- GT2 Side skirts
- Aerokit style front splitter front – not OEM
- Full Front Clear Bra
- Legal ceramic tint
- V1 hardwire
- New Rotors with EBC Red low dust ceramic pads
- Clear corner markers

The car had been in a accident to the passenger front end with cosmetic damage fully repaired. That didn't bother me and the car passed the PPI at Champion with no flags.

Car will be shipped this Thursday and arrive in Reno NV next week.

Can't wait!

Congrats, you got a nice one!
Always best to buy from a rennlister, odds of getting a good car quadruple vs buying cold from eBay et al.

Thanks!

Until I can take pictures of my own here is a link to the ad with pictures.

I really wanted a different color other than black but when the right car came up I had to act. It seems my favorite cars are always black (M635CSi, e30M3).

Congrats on the purchase, that looked like a very well thought out car. (Looks like you have good taste in general!)

James and I used to race together in BMW CCA CR. That was ages ago when he drove the e36 M3. He may remember my D Modified e30 M3 with the Air Jacks.

I'll definitely be in SoCal to visit my mom and I'll have to stop by the shop in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa when I am there. I'll need to look at my next stage of modifications.

I agree! Another benefit in Nevada is that a private sale means NO SALES TAX. So I can spend more on the right car!

Once the car arrives I'll document it fully and as I add more modifications, there will be pictures to follow.

Congrats!

I also recently acquired a 2011 6MT TT (w 8k miles) from a gentleman in MD and waiting the week it took to get to San Diego seemed like a lifetime. Enjoy in the best of health!!!
