Default Cliutch switch missing (red)

So I was doing some wiring,.. and removing a Bluetooth module from my 997.1 turbo and I noticed that one of the two clutch switches was missing. The red one. I believe this is the one that shuts off the cruise-control?

The green arrow in this pic.

But I thought I remember reading where it does other stuff too,... such as lower the sensitivity of the throttle and lower the knock threshold in the ECU etc,.. to keep the engine from pulling timing just because of a shift taking place?

Can someone confirm?

So there's a loose red connector wire hanging there and no red base attached to the bracket?
