Just a little background on my vehicle. It's a 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo which did not come with the Chrono package. I am currently running a tune from Softronics. So I wanted to install a boost gauge that could show me the boost Psi as the stock only shows up to 14 PSI and my tune boost is close to 25 PSI. I also wanted other options so I chose the PLX DM-100 Touch screen gauge which plugs in to the OBDII port. This gauge also reads and clears fault codes (check engine) and I bought a remote as I had my friend install the gauge into the chrono pod with the glass intacted. I attached pictures of the install. Also my installer didn't just plug it in to the OBDII port but tapped into the wires of the port so the actual port is clear and free of any plug.

Measure 20 times and cut once...Ha!!! That's a heck of a commitment!!!! When I saw the hole cut in the dash...my eyes popped open and my jaw dropped and a few F-Bombs came out of my pie hole!
That said, the end results are awesome...I really like what you did. You should consider selling kits to the other 2007 TT folks...We'll done. JB

God I wish I did it lol . A friend of mine who does mobile audio/video installs for Porsche , Audi, Lamborghini , etc. did the install. He has done a lot of work on my cars in the past so I wasn't really concerned. Thanks for the kind words.

Looks like you'll be blowing bits of foam out of your air vents for months to come!! Easy job to tape them up prior to digging out the foam.

Shame that you didn't get a leather chrono pod. Would have matched the leather dash better.

Quadjammer that is leather lol. It was custom wrapped with leather to match the dashboard as close as possible. That was done by a local shop. The pod came just black abs plastic. Trust me no expense was sparred on this install. Lol

Also I am sorry I didn't post every picture but the foam will not be an issue. Trust me this guy does work on $300,000 cars so I am not concerned as its fully warrantied. Thanks for those who commented on it looking great. Anyone in the ny/nj area that wants the guy's number let me know he will come to you if your local enough.

It may be leather, but is it possible it's not geiuine Porsche Leather from the most sacred German cows on earth? That really looks like inferior Corvette leather that comes from very common Texan Cattle...shame on you, Sir! Shame on you! JB
