FVD Brombacher has a very good dealer alternative for the center lock kit. Check them out.

No other Porsche dealers in the Cincinnati/Dayton area offers this service and it makes the center Locks a non issue. I got the same kind of service from my dealer, and took advantage of it until I realized they weren't insuring that the locking mechanisms were properly set before returning my car to me. That's pretty elementary stuff, and hence for that and a myriad of other annoying reasons, I no longer use "my" dealership.

I like the center lock look but couldn't see going to all the cost/work to do it. But if I ever get a newer car I would look for it for sure.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do it again, but this is my "keeper" car, so I splurged.
