interesting. Thanks for posting. I will bet (though I could check) that they have improved the web portion of the ED experience since then

Watched only a bit of the vid. ED is still on my bucket list (as is paint to sample). Those around here who have done it have had a blast.

Story goes that this 993 TT on ED was 12 miles from the factory when the pic was taken. And the car lived a long carefree life.

I prefer a rental Avis 2L turbodiesel. Rather get those doors dinged in the tight Euro parking spaces.

Already did the autobahn every 2 weeks Brussels to Nürnberg round trip weekends in the 1970's. And the factory tour in 1999.

Terry's photo reminds me of my ED in '01 of a 996TT. I picked up the car in Stuttgart, left the place after the ceremony. Headed straight towards Schaffhausen (Swiss border) which was (still is?) the closest section of the autobahn to Stuttgart without speed limit. With ~50mi on the car I floored it and it could not break over 180mph. Later in the week with a thousand mile or so on the car I could run over 190mph (indicated on digital speedo).

I never understood if the new car was power limited or the engine needed to break in and loosen up with miles? great memory...
