Need to take it to a track, IMO. No concern about police coming after you with the evidence provided in this video?

Taking to the track soon. We were not racing, just having some fun. Not worried about the police or video.

I could have pushed it harder. The car was handling amazing. It felt like it was under 100. My heart started pumping so I let off. I only new how fast because my co pilot took a pic. I was focused on the road.

Hate to be "that guy", but there are just so many things that can go wrong that could cost someone's life... Not to mention that it's an instant "go to jail" offense (at least in most states).. Just not worth it. Pay for the track time, it's a ton more fun anyways.

Stay safe.

Don't be to hard on Fatbro for having some fun! Come on. These cars get to that speed ultra fast, so it's like sex, (over in a few seconds....so I'm told)

So you guys are trying to tell others that you have never opened your cars up on a quiet, strait stretch of road? Not even once?

I do sometimes when I can, but on safe roads and when I'm in the mood.

Had he been doing it through a populated area then yeh, reason to strip him, but look at the road!

Although I am new here, I can tell you I did the exact same thing and learned that jail isn't fun. Caused me to become a very active racer instead. Keep it on the track, you are betting that there are no issues with the road surface, something doesn't pop out, and that you are a good high speed driver (very few really are).

I have owned Porsche's for 30 years. I have done high speed runs once or twice on public roads years ago when I was younger and less mature. Now at age 56, I mostly get my performance thrills out of taking turns quickly.

The fastest I drive now is probably about 130 on the front straight at Roebling Raceway. Not bad for a 255 horsepower hair dresser car, my 02 Boxster S track beast. :-)

And as far as it being over fast, yup, that's what happened tragically to actor Paul Walker.

I guess this leads to the obvious question, what amount of overspeed if any is acceptable on an empty stretch to porsche fans. 90, 100, 110 ?

A good starting point would be keep it below go to jail speed. :-)
