anyone in NY/NJ with this tune? I have an EVO550 tune, I know no different as my car came with it. Curious how this one compares.

Tuningwise I would not look another way. Data Logging module is super handy and easy to use. Plug and play. It allows me to switch to more aggressive program within a few seconds when I drive to Germany and higher octane gas is available. No hassle with laptop.
I agree, Kevin's tune is great. Logging is a breeze too and knowing what your engine is doing gives peace of mind.

You say you have a more agressive tune for Germany... I agreed with him a bit more conservative tune for these possible 300 km/h runs, although I am rarely in Germany.

I had two different tunes by Kevin that I used with my 996TT. The more aggressive one with German 102RON (98PON) gas showed hardly any knock retard on WOT, even on 5th and 6th gear. It was easy to tell the difference between the two tunes using butt dyno. I ran his tunes for allmost 5 years on my996TT with absolutely no issues at all.

You need to know the fuel you fill in.

Do you know if your tune is custom or off the shelf? You'd see a difference in a custom tune, I'd bet.

Jared, if you have access to or could borrow a Vbox you could log some 60-100 and 100-200 times to have a direct comparison to your existing tune, would eliminate the butt dyno affect. I have Kevin's tune and my times are in my dyno thread..

Honestly not sure. It's the EVT550 tune from evolution motor sports in Arizona.

I don't have one and no clue who does. So I'm SOL. But I do have the tune info. I have changed from 100 to 200 cell cats since the tune. But the tune chart the owner gave me doesn't seem to line up with the tune. Personally just enjoying the car and haven't been too worried about the power since it has more than I can usually use legally at any given time.

Hi Kevin!
Two questions:
- Do you do a e85 tune?
- As understand from the comments it should be pretty easy switching back and forth between stock tune if needed (if you buy the device). True?

Kevin's tune is awesome! I honestly don't think I could ever enjoy my car again on a stock tune. I also have peace of mind knowing my engine is running MUCH safer compared to the stock.

Anyone have a before and after dyno chart for 93 octane? I'm curious what gains are typically achieved and what the area under the torque curve looks like in the low RPM range.

Thanks.

Darius, I don't offer E85 tuning.

Mike, go look up Saabin's ugrade and dyno post. If you PM him, he will send you his dyno datalogs. You will be able to see the RPM vs power output and boost.
