Can someone in the DC/MD/NOVA area recommend a place? Right now I have a quote from proshieldinc for 1200 for xpel ultimate full front of the car. Does anyone have experience with them or anyone else in this area?

If you are in that part of the world you should stop by TPC in Jessup and get to know them...I am sure that they can point you in the right direction on a lot of stuff...(good folks from what I have heard).

Also the owner sent me pictures of a 991 GT3 that he is wrapping the whole thing now. Looked fine. Also the pictures on their website they have done a few ferraris, astons, and a veyron.

Yea they do it for 1500 and it's 3M. The service guy also recommended someone else who will do it for 1700 xpel ultimate full front. I have another shop who will do xpel ultimate 1200 full front. My detail guy uses the last one and he says on the last 15 cars he brought to them, they didn't mess anything up.

You'll want the xpel wrap. Its a great product. I've wrapped all my cars full frontal and it does a great job of protecting the car. I also do everything forward facing like the wing on the back of the car, mirrors, door cups and door edges. Also, the door sill below the carbon that is a painted part. Tends to get kicked getting in/out of the car. You may want to also consider doing the windshield with clearplex. Another great product that will protect the windshield from rocks, etc. Done both on all our cars.

That's never been my experience. I view it as a disposable item. Once its toast from protecting the windshield I'll have it replaced. I have yet to replace one on the 911 but I'll probably replace the one on the Rover. Not bad for 3 years daily driven in Seattle.

In the 3 years I been paying attention, none of my other cars have gotten chips either. So I'm wondering now if this is really necessary just because of my particular area.
