Default Wheel recommendations

Seriously considering a 2007-2009 911 TT, and interested in hearing some wheel recommendations. I'm not a fan of the stock TT wheels, so I'm inclined to pick up new or like-new wheels elsewhere. Any recommended sites / stores, brands, specs, other considerations? I'm a bit of a newbie, so appreciate any advice (and/or links to prior postings on the topic).

Thanks in advance!

I installed BBS CH-R wheels on my 997 TT for my winter tires. Loving them!

I just picked up a set of HRE P40's (19 x 9 and 19 x 12) cheap that I'm having refinished. I won't have pics for a couple weeks, but I'm looking forward to putting those on.

Check Wheel Enhancement's website. I'm local, they are great guys and I've done business with them for ~20 years, and I highly recommend them.

Wheels are like women, it's all in the eyes of the beholder. HRE has some very nice wheels (but pricey); Dennis' BBS's are nice and more reasonably priced (I've considered them); but it's all about how much you have to spend and what you like.

HRE and Champion are good wheels - I like these but I'm biased since I own a set -

Thanks, helpful tips. Any views on Strasse and how it compares with others mentioned?

Depends on the purpose of the wheel... just for looks or track? Or both? I love HRE's - light, beautiful but obviously expensive. Also can't never go wrong with BBS or Forgeline. Personally I'm not a fan of these boutique wheels like ADV.1 or Strasse, etc... but that's just me.

How about these...HRE 795r...20x8.5 & 20x12 Tires = 245/30/20 & 325/25/20.

These will work on any WB car...They are sitting on my C4S right now but I am seriously considering selling them as I am trying to buy a Turbo. Will make someone a very good deal and they have very low miles on them.

wheel decisions are 100% personal and 100% subjective. My recommendation is to spend an hour looking through the various car forums that have 997 picture threads and see what you like. For example check out this thread:

http://teamspeed.com/forums/991-997-...re-thread.html

once you find a few styles that are to your liking then you can narrow down the choice of manufacturer to meet your budget.

Good luck

Lot's of good advice here.

I have a 997.2 TTS Black on black and I have a set of HRE P101's in "brushed dark clear" on the way.

Will look something like this, but I have a cab.

HRE's website has a a large file of how their different wheels/fiinishes/ look on various cars. (This pic is from HRE's website)
