Interesting... Very similar to my buying experience.. Same dealer, same timeframe (oct 2013) same color scheme (blk/blk) both CPO..

Congrats on your new ride, BTW!

Congrats! And yours looks exactly like mine. I've got a 2008 Basalt Black TT manual, they're lovely cars, I love mine to bits, traded my Carrera S (also 997.1) in on the TT beginning of June this year. Haven't looked back! I particularly like the solid feel to the TT, perhaps because of the extra weight, I don't know, but it just feels worth the extra money when you drive it, fast or slow. And the torque, my goodness gracious me. You have to get used to braking more often with this one, all the other cars on the road are from now going to seem to be going a LOT slower than before.

You know the more I look at these cars the more I'm convinced it's the best looking Porsche. Low front, wide back and the Turbo side slits - awesome.

I agree they went back to open gill on the 991 like the 996. I prefer the 997 from all three, the car is just perfect dimension, gills, etc.

Soon as car arrives I am going to fit a child seat in the rear for my 1 year old.
Going to try the Clek Fllo seat first. Stay tuned

I would be very interested in how the Fllo seat works for you. I am hopefully picking up my Turbo next week once the PPI is done and would like to put two seats in the back for two of my kiddos (5 yr old twins and a 2 year old). Was looking at the Porsche seats, but am open to others as well.

That looks like it should fit just fine. I used the Diono Radian RXT and it fit very nicely.

Well today I arrived back in Vancouver and got to finally see and drive my new to me 997.1TT!
(Been in Florida all January racing/wrenching around Sebring in the RS...)

Car looks great! Super clean!! The wheel spacers and lower springs really help the car look the part and Im glad the previous owner kept them on for me.

It is raining cats and dogs today and the rest of the weekend so I will not go and drive the hell out of the car until it is nice and dry to get a true impression however I can say the ride even with the H&R springs really is plush especially compared to my monoball RS.
This is looking to be a great weekly daily driver and weekend hot rod!

I already have a set of LED tails, 18" 3 piece HRE wheels and softronic tune ready and waiting for the car.
Exhaust will be next...

What exhaust will you choose? Europipe? How about bbi since ur track focused? Maybe inconel kline if your feeling really special? . On 6speed quicksilver just posted a titanium exhaust for 3200. Uses OEM cats and tips.

Europipe is first on my list... nothing too loud as it is something I use in the city more then the track...
