Default Help - Illuminated Door Sills / Footwell lights out?

I have read almost every thread that has been written on this topic, and I guess Im still seeking some guidance. I have a 2007 997TT with illuminated or sills, and they both stopped working at the same time.

After some investigation i realized that my footwell lights were also not working but that my glovebox light is fine? Any help would be appreciated.

First thought was a fuse, but can't find one associated.

Foot lights or the door lights. If door lights then, here is what has happened. The Porsche CAN-BUS detects an open circuit or short between your door sills and shuts that circuit off. Both can be traced back to the door module via PIWIS or Durametric Pro. What has happened is the square ballasts that light up the Turbo sills have burnt out. You can't buy the little ballasts alone. Moreover, the illuminated sills have gone bad which probably caused the problem. I am afraid it’s a visit to the doctor at a tune of $600.00 for both sills+installation, say $1100.00. Or you can replace them.

I have the same issue - going to the Dr on Tuesday to see what can be done. Mine is drivers side only on the door sill.

Have you played with the center light switch by the rear view mirror? I know for sure if it's switched all the way over the footwell lights are off.

OH MY GOD --- THE DOOR SILLS ARE LINKED TO THE CENTER SWITCH ALSO.
They are not OEM so Im guessing that was where the dealer who installed the sills linked for the most control lol.

Thank you

Mine turned out to be a burned out light. Replaced under warranty...
