Default TPC's magic PASM controller (DSC)

There is significant info and chatter on the GT3 / RS forums regarding this device, but only one thread from a 997 turbo owner.

https://rennlist.com/forums/search.p...rchid=16818076

I know GT3 / RS owners typically want a different "experience" than Turbo owners, but would still like to hear if you've bought this device for your 997.1 Turbo and what you think of it.

Cheers

Craig

I own it and love it. It is no gimmick. I wish I bought one a year ago.

07 997.1TT- Tip- street only- stock suspension other than DSC- bought it in January- it transforms the car & is well worth the $. Amazing difference - Only have 3 mods- This is best - well i also really like my EP1.

the lights referred to are not an issue to me at all, even at night- as it's not noticeable unless you're looking down at the PASM switch.

Love mine. Running GMG springs. Wouldn't give it back if you paid me. Never notice the blinking light.

Yes the light doesn't bother me one bit even at night. Also having 3 settings is great.

I have not experienced it but the blinking light would drive me up the wall. I dont even like the fact that the yellow lights come on for sport or pasm. I would have to come up with a system to block my view of the button.

The blinking light is a worthy tradeoff. I've had this in my car for 4 weeks now and can't imagine driving without it. The stock setup was way off, and to me making the wrong compromises. DTC box provides a better ride and is overall more stable in any of the settings than the stock box IMO.

Does this only tighted up the dampers? I would like the soft setting to be softer than stock and sport setting firmer than sport.

Anyone know if there is a way to do this?

Thanks for the feedback RL friends.
I snoozed too long.
TPC is out of stock until ~ the first week of Jan 2015.

The box doesn't just increase compression and rebound. It uses the accelerometer to make the suspension dampening dynamically adjust to the conditions in real time (via a preprogrammed map by TPC). Overall the ride greatly improves. In setting one is is softer and more plush, but I find myself driving in mode 2 which is seems to increase compression at a fast rate.

Based on my understanding of the TPC DSC, what benefit would the new shocks provide over a simpler reprogram of the OEM?

Also, aren't the OEM made by bilstein?
