Default Best place/method to buy a Fidelity warranty?

I am looking to purchase an aftermarket warranty for my 997.1 TT. It is a 2008 with 34,000 miles on it, I'm now out of warranty. Does anyone have any leads or suggestions on the best way to get a good price on a Fidelity aftermarket warranty?

Thanks in advance,
Franc

Call fidelity. Just ask them for their "vendors" in your area. Doesnt matter the maker/dealer.

Call them/stop by and get quotes. Buy from cheapest.

Spoiler alert it probably wont be a "german manufacturer" itll prolly be a domestic or cheaper japanese/korean brand. Think dodge, chevy, honda, hyundai ect.

Same warranty.

Got mine from the Porsche dealer but was still under warranty. You should be able to get at least 40% off the "list" price.

I got mine for $50 over cost. If you pay with cc then you have to pay surcharge or you can pay them with a check. Mossy motors in New Orleans. Ask for Michael Jourdan. Tell him Sid sent you and you are Porsche guy. I got 6 years 60k platinum coverage for $5350.

i've used sunset porsche in Oregon for few of my Fidelity warranties over last few yrs though i don't live there. Earlier this yr got fidelity platinum 6 yr/60k addl miles $250 ded for 07 997.1TT with 25kmiles & still under CPO for $4300. just called fin mgr, got rates for various coverages/deductibles & picked one i thought best. Did this over phone/email & paid with CC. Ck out various places here & buy the least expensive one. Be sure you get the Platinum coverage & it covers additional miles.

Christine Takla at Circle Porsche in Long Beach, CA. 6/60 Platinum, $250 deductible for $3700 on my '08 TT (18,800 miles). Used my cc over the phone, no fees, $3700 out the door. I called the others, this was the best deal I found. YMMV.

Thanks so much for the tips! I will get on this Monday, will call around and see what's available. The peace of mind of having the car covered is well worth the price

Figured i'd share this and use this thread since i'm shopping. I called Circle Porsche, CA. My turbo has 35,400 miles and this was the quote. Also you can upgrade at a later time if you get the cheapest option. So if you don't want to drop $5k on a warranty now you can always go from Powertrain 4 years to Platinum 6 years and just pay the difference. Christine was really great to talk to. Unless you have a newer 2012 with lots of tech, you don't need a platinum.

Powertrain with $250 ded

4 year/48,000 miles=$2100
6 year/60,000=$2700

Gold Plus
4 year/48,000=$4100
6 year/60,00=$5200

Platinum
6 year/60,000=$7200

Does powertrain cover all the main potential issues related to the .1T? ....coolant pipes, radiator, water pump etc...?

don't believe those are powertrain. You need the gold plus, not sure it will cover coolant pipes though. Radiator and water pumps should be though. You have to look at teh details

i felt much safer with the TT, getting an exclusionary warranty (platinum)that covers all items except those specifically shown as NOT covered and excluded - For $3.5-$4.5k i figured the exclusionary was worth peace of mind for 6 yrs/60k miles. For $7k i'd opt t self insure.

The powertrain, gold & gold plus only covers items that are listed in the contract- if it is not listed it's not covered. I'd hate to shell out $$$ for one of these only to discover an issue with my TT was not specifically listed as covered.

I got just a power train, 2 yrs $1900 from preferred warranty. PT warranty only covers lubricated parts. A month after I got mine, the tranny took a dump, bill at the dealer/shop was 21k, they covered everything, $100 ded. While the motor was out I did the coolant stuff, plugs, new gt2 clutch etc, that was on me.

Those warranties are only available at time of car purchase. Not after market while you own the car.
