Switched from H&R to Eibach
Before I start a holy war here, I figured I'd caveat this by saying *this is my experience*
When I bought my car, I noticed that it sat REALLY low. I knew it had H&R springs on it, but it seemed much lower than other cars I'd seen. Upon measuring it, the car was 1.75" lower than a stock car (by my crude measurements) and felt like it was riding on the bump stops. The car wallowed a lot, and I was concerned about breaking an expensive PASM strut.
After talking to Kevin at UMW, I decided to swap in the Eibach springs and swaybars. The car is stiffer now, but not uncomfortably so, even given the crappy OH roads I drive on. Secondarily, it no longer wallows around and feels much more capable on the road.
The swaybar additions definitely flattened out the car in corners, and the car is getting closer to driving like my 993tt did (not quite, lol). I don't know what happened to my H&R springs, or if the car will eventually sag on these springs too. I guess time will tell. What I do know now is that the car is now about .8" lower than stock which is what I was looking for. Hopefully with settling it won't go much more than 1" long term.
I feel like I can drive the car much more aggressively now, and the swap has really paid off for my driving style! Watch this space for the next round of mods that Kevin and I are cooking up... I'm excited!

Just a quick update here... I drove the car on Monday and Tuesday to work and it's much more planted than before. The other benefit I didn't know I would get is that the front end is tightened up quite a bit, which was one of my beefs with the car. The steering is now tighter and more responsive.
All in all a good call! I'll post more after a couple months to see where the settling ends up. I think the sways help a ton, and I learned next time to do it as a set and not try to piece meal it together.

EIBACH
I just bought a DSC unit from TPC Racing that modifies the suspension on our 997 TTs.
They say it could only handle better if it had Sway bars. On their site, they sell only Eibach.
Read about this unit on 6Speed in the 997TT section under "modified suspension".
Only good revues, so I had to see for myself.

I like Eibachs a lot more than H&Rs. Sagging is one thing, but my biggest concern with H&Rs are they drop the car way too much. This creates toe steer. Suspension travel is also significantly limited. Thats where a lot of complaints come from (wobble, bounce...etc). eibachs are a better choice. OP, good switch

I bought my kit from Kevin at UMW. We did a bunch of research together to figure out a good setup for me. I'm sure he got tired of me with the 800 questions I ask . He knew how much I struggled with the PSS9's I had on my 996tt. I'm sure coil overs are great for the track, but I could never find a compromise that I liked... Maybe too much adjustability is just that; too much.
I wanted something a little lower, a little stiffer, and a little flatter than stock. I'm not a track guy, so I think this will give me the change I wanted without overthinking the setup too much.

love the look. we had eibachs on a couple of cars but we always had sagging problems with them. measure your height through the center of the wheel to the fender well today. check it a year and see after it settles does it stay. we went from 1.2 inch drop to 1.5 after a year.

I have the H & R springs and have had no issues with them.. I don't think they are too low and the car handles awesome with them. I hope that stays that way! Now you've got me "sag" paranoid!

No need for paranoia, I'm sure not everyone has the problem I did or they wouldn't sell so many. My body has sagged too with time, I'm thinking it's just a rule of nature for all things
